It might be small, but the F2 is bright! With its 14500 lithium ion battery and Samsung LED, this amazing little light will go for hours if needed or blow your retina's out with nearly 1000 lumens. The F2 was created to go easy on the wallet and still have all the quality you've come to expect from Focusworks.

  • Samsung LH351d 5000k LED or 4500k Nichia 519a LED
  • Qlite driver (simple low-medium-high operation)
  • Grade 5 titanium pocket clip
  • Runs on a 14500 lithium ion rechargeable battery (sold separately)
  • Weight with a battery 140g
  • 4-1/16" (104mm) x 7/8" (22mm) diameter

What emitter (LED) should you get?

Naturally that's totally up to your preference but how to make the choice?

Start this way.  Ignore the brand and the numbers and letters behind it and focus on the 5000k and 4500k.  That's the color of the light.  But how do you compare that to something you know?

It's easy.  Think about an old incandescent light (most light bulb's these days try to mimic that color).  Remember what color they are?  Kind of a yellowy white?  That yellowy white color is roughly 3500k.  the lower the number the yellower the light the higher the color the bluer the light..

4500k is just a littler bit bluer than the old incandescent.  It's soft and easy on the eyes but appears a little dimmer than the 5000k option.

5000k is more intense.  More towards blue it eliminates any yellow and appears to be white light.  It looks brighter and light's up an area better than 4000k (in my opinion)

I used to always recommend going with 5000k when I'm asked.  I prefer its brightness and lack of yellow in the beam.

However the New 519a 4500k emitter is the latest greatest emitter and isn't very yellow so I'm not sure which one I like best anymore.

Michael F. ★★★★★

The brass body got warm in my hand during a long walk, but that heft feels reassuring and the light itself is a pocket-sized beast. I swapped in the 14500 and it’s holding a steady beam past the hour mark with zero dimming.

Grace ★★★★★

The 14500 battery means I actually get serious brightness from something that disappears in my pocket, and that Samsung LED throws a beam way out into the yard. I’ve had it on for over an hour now without a dim, so the runtime claim holds up.

Christopher B. ★★★★★

I was skeptical about the runtime with a 14500 cell, but this little brass light actually holds a steady beam for hours on a single charge. The Samsung LED punches out nearly 1000 lumens, and the compact size slips into my pocket without any bulk.
